The headline on one of my favourite news channel read, "India is with you, Mumbai." Sure, the kind of mayhem that has struck the Maximum City, every Indian's heart goes out to those trapped inside the two hotels. Everyone is with Mumbai, except of course our politicians and very shockingly the media.
News channels were showing live footage of army and NSG commandos taking position outside Oberoi in the morning. Some influential journos gathered news from their sources on the exact moves and POA of the NSG and they were shouting it out LIVE on national TV.
So here's our national security, compromised for the greed of grabbing a few more eyeballs. Lives of our dedicated, army, NSG, RAF risked for TRPs.
But of course, this was balanced out. They also covered extensively the deaths of ATS chief and the top encounter cop of mumbai and the grief of their family members.

you missed out the detail where one cameraman was taking live footage of a person who was shot instead of picking him up.
Its all about media sensationalism.
That scene where the last terrorist inside TAJ was shot and he tumbles down the window was repeated over and over again to achieve what?
The media hounding the hostages who were evacuated after 50-60 hour ordeals - how much more insensitive can one get?
Barkha Dutt trying to shoot scenes inside the TAJ inspite of all the efforts by the security to shoo them off.
Media in india is a joke and have actually misinterpreted the real meaning of journalism and freedom of speech. People like Barkha Dutt are enemies of India within its boundary who are are misleading people and always show their personal bias instead of taking an independant view. The truth is still we lost many lives in Mumbai attack and to this day nothing has been done to compensate for it. This is the sad and real story of India
